The short answer is this: You should feel safe to travel anywhere in the world that American tourists would normally go, and your baby’s risk of catching a harmful infection is little different than your day-to-day life here in the U.S.. Even airplane travel presents very little risk. Now, the risk isn’t zero, of course. But, overall, if you have felt comfortable raising your baby without vaccines so far, your decision to travel to worldwide tourist destinations shouldn’t affect this decision. Also, there is no minimum age a baby needs to be in order to travel on an airplane.
